about

Years experience

Jo Stocks

I am a psychotherapist in advanced clinical training and continually work to develop myself and my practice through ongoing personal development and training – my belief is that there are always new things to learn and discover about myself and the world, and experience has taught me how beneficial it is to remain open minded and have the courage to push myself out of my usual comfort zones.

I have worked for almost 15 years with people from all walks of life who have experienced trauma, relationship and attachment difficulties, low confidence and self-esteem, stress, and depression and anxiety.

My work history has included working with substance misuse and addiction both in the community and within the criminal justice system and prisons, and this work has contributed towards me developing a deeply empathic and non-judgemental way of being.

I hold great faith in the powerful healing properties of a trusting relationship where confidentiality and discretion are honoured and valued, and always work in line with the UKATA code of ethics.

My experience to date has led to me supporting people with the effects of trauma, depression and anxiety, relationship and attachment problems, low confidence and self-esteem.
